Kamala Harris, the first female Vice-President of the United States, is married to Douglas Emhoff, an entertainment lawyer.
Early life and education
Douglas Craig Emhoff was born on October 13, 1964, in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from California State University, Northridge, in 1987, and from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law in 1990.
Career
Emhoff worked as an entertainment lawyer for the firm Venable LLP from 1990 to 2017. He then joined the firm DLA Piper, where he served as a partner until 2021.
Personal life
Emhoff met Harris in 2013 on a blind date set up by a mutual friend. They married a year later, in 2014.
Emhoff is the first Second Gentleman of the United States.
