The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced the appointment of Derek Clancey as assistant general manager, player personnel. Clancey is a seasoned 54-year-old professional with a distinguished career in the National Hockey League (NHL).
Addition to Toronto Maple Leafs Leadership Team
Clancey's hiring strengthens the Toronto Maple Leafs' leadership team, bringing his extensive experience in player personnel management. A native of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Clancey has seven seasons of experience as Director of Pro Scouting with the Vancouver Canucks.
Proven Track Record
Prior to his time with the Canucks, Clancey held key scouting roles with the Edmonton Oilers and Los Angeles Kings. He has been recognized for his keen eye for talent, contributing to the success of several NHL franchises.
